holy tears

adults say 
the darnedest 
things 

another round of 
posters 
outside the

speak of hate

they pretend to 
speak for GOD

god hates
they say

and i can't even believe
GOD 
can hate those who hate

but i do believe
GOD grieves
each time 
hate mongering 
has the floor

it is 
HOLY WEEK

and GOD'S tears 
flow in the garden 
and on the hill 
of crucifixion 

i imagine 
tears are 
still possible 
for GOD
