searching for words

on creating sermons each week:

one has to live in constant 
openness in search of words

once the words are caught

then one must let the

Holy Spirit put them together....

and most always what emerges

is costly first to the writer of the sermon

feelings

prophecies

reminders

confessions

hope

there is really no way

around the fact that

your own story

plays out

as

GOD

mingles

and hovers

if there is a sting

the preacher should feel it first

if there is hope

the preacher

must jump in the water of grace first

if their is lament

the preacher must

cry it out first

it's a calling

a gift

a journey

sometimes

it is an overwhelming

process

other

times

it is the most joyful

of journey of all
