a few words with meaning...

I am currently reading Reading the Clouds by Anthony J. Gittins. Here are some of his words of wisdom:

With peace comes God's liberating hand which frees from fear. "Do not be afraid" is said to occur 365 times in the Bible - one for every day of the year.

Curiosity leads to puzzlement, which appears to be a universal experience. If nothing puzzles us anymore we have probably lost our curiosity, our appetite for life.

We are changing.....It is not that we have changed but that change marks our lived experience: it is part of who we are.

In order to branch out, a tree or plant must be rooted. To live as missionaries we must have a strong rootedness or sense of identity is required....To have roots is not of course, to be root-bound...
