a storm

sandy
the hurricane
was the talk of the town 
when she blew in 
and stayed 
about as long 
as any 
hurricane
storm
should stay

in the midst of
real concerns 
and real problems
and real
destruction 
there seems to be 
at least
one televangelist
linking 
nature's storm
to 
GOD'S 
punishment

in our day and age
the gays
are to blame...
their agenda 
to love and be loved
is cause for GOD'S
wrath
and destruction
it is said 
by these
few talking 
heads

i'm not sure
what GOD
these 
wrath speakers
know...
but the GOD
i met in 
scriptures
doesn't work this 
way

but so be it.

the storm has passed
and now 
re-building begins
