so many emotions so little time...

the mere mention of the word emotion
and some people...
ok
a lot of people
cringe.

emotion
can be a threatening
reality....

and it is
threatening
when it is a certain
kind of emotion.

but that's
not necessarily the
emotion i'm talking
about at the moment.

oh i have a some
emotions around me
that are the threatening kind...
but GOD has been good to me
lately and i am a
non-anxious
presence.

the emotions i savor today are
rooted in these stories:

a daughter who is proving her
courage, independence, and maturity.

a son who is focused,
strong and doing what i believe he was born to do.

a mother and a father who so get me.

a former spouse who laughed with me.

a friend who traveled a long way to visit me.

a sister who is about to travel long miles to visit me.

colleagues i work with....we figured out that team thing.

tennessee friends who bought me dinner and lunch.

emotions
filled with love
gratitude
joy.

:)

I have been using the idea of gratitude in my children's messages. They are for the kids, but I have the entire congregation in mind since some listen to that message and then wander off. I enjoyed reading your gratitude list. You have a lot to be grateful for, and you know this to be true! Praise God!
