Read this last year...
don't have time to find the source
at the moment
but I remember the idea,
the thinking of the author
quite well.
In the process of remembering
our stories
it is possible and
we are invited to
re-imagine
re-write
episodes of our life story.
Try on a new ending.
Explore other possibilities.
Enjoy another way.
This is a personal exercise.
It is not about lying
or telling untruths.
It is about
digging around for parts of the story
that for some reason or other
have remained dormant
silent
or
even lost.
Sometimes past
experiences can haunt us...
or at the least
nag at us.
If we re-imagine some of these
stories
we open the way for
a new perspective to emerge.
I've been
busy
re-imagining
re-writing
some of my life stories
today.
It's pretty uncanny
how silenced truths
come to life....
how much easier
it becomes to
put down old baggage
and move on.
I
don't think we're
ever through
remembering
re-thinking
re-feeling
re-dreaming
re-imagining
re-feeling
re-telling...
