a matter of dust

dust.
my cousin and i argued
once about dust.

he required that the vacuuming
be done
before dusting the tops of furniture.
he said the vacuuming stirred up dust
do it was best to do the dusting last.

whether or not that is right
one this is true
it is necessary to dust again.

in reality all we do is move
dust around.

isn't our focus on dust
strange?

isn't it even more interesting
that in the beginning
GOD took dust and breathed into it
bringing life.

you and are are dust,
the result of GOD'S
imagination
and power
to take a particle of dust
and
breath into it
cells
genes
personality
individuals
entire families.

life.

it's a matter of dust,
holy
life
breathed
dust.
