Advent windows...

This day
I am most pleased
the sanctuary
does not have
stained glass.

Clear glass
on a day like this
offers a view
only God create.

Clear windows
on all sides...
and the snow swirls
and falls
at times dancing with
the sounds of the
handbells
and pipe organ....
filling in the
silent moments
with dancing joy.

What
beauty.

Simple
beauty
only
God
has power to create.

Advent
unfolds
snow flakes,
flutes,
guitars
and drumming...
silence,
preaching,
choir singing
an early American tune,
Communion,
and statement of faith:

"God is powerful enough to be
a baby...
crying for parents,
and looking
at the big brown cow."
