This is a muffler in my my neck of the woods.
Some say those
with a muffler
this big and this loud
are overcompensating...
for what you can fill in the blank.
I'm not sure what the
deal is.
I have learned
as the mufflers
blast
by my window in the
morning....
they get a lot out of them.
Rumble,
crackle,
and sometimes a boom.
Today...
I sit yet again with
a church...
the church my friend leads...
They long for renewal...
new life...
which is really another way of
saying change.
We want change...
but so many times we
don't want to change.
Big mufflers are teaching me...
we need to blow
out some of things
to let new
things in.
It takes
courage...
persistence...
and a dose
more courage.,,
for a group or
and individual.
I wait for the church
ready to push down the pedal
and blow out the
stale...the worn out....the tired...
Because no matter what I
or anyone else says about
vehicles with big,
loud mufflers.
The truth is...
they live life with a
bit more
joy!
