Presbyterians are all about checks and balances.John Calvin did not trust power in the hands of a few
nor did he trust power in the hands of the masses.
So...
power was placed
in a system of checks and balances.
It's never a perfect world though.
Checks and balances...
sometimes
go
unchecked...
get
unbalanced.
When this occurs...it is
important for those
in positions of power
to trust and listen and respond
to the voices
and wisdom
of others
serving along side
them.
