As we moved boxes and boxes of stuff out of the old wind of the church to prepare for demolition and new building process we found some old checks from 1942. One check was to the electric company for $1.25. The pastors monthly check was for $30.00!

Went to a play this afternoon. A drama group from New Orleans and Baton Rouge presented the story of a shelter at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, Baton Rouge during Hurricane Katrina. How amazing that such great needs still exist in this part of the country. Great play, great needs. The group is spending the night in our church tonight.

Another week of Doctor of Ministry classes. O.k. I suppose I am officially a nerd....I can't wait to go to class! Presently this is my refuge. Thank God for the gift of a refuge.
