My moment with Carol!
My brother and sister in law first introduced us to The Greencards.
We first heard them sing at Poor David's Pub south of town. That night we were the only ones in the audience! Bad for them...but man what a night for us, our own personal concert!
Last Saturday night was our third time to see them at the Granada.
Now hear me out. I am not a freaky fan. I do enjoy their music and Carol. If you have not seen Carol in person singing her stuff....well you won't understand until you do. I've made it a tradition to yell out, "I love you Carol." She responds each time. However, I do prefer to be a fan from afar.
Having said that....I got this picture above with Carol. My sister in law arranged it. "Pose with my brother in law.....he's the one that yells out that he loves you." Oh great, now she thinks I'm a stalker! (But thanks sister in law....it was worth it!) Carol then posed with me and my brother in law worked to take our picture....he forgot to turn the camera on and the simple snap of a camera turned into a really long pose! A line of fans, a delayed camera, it was a bit awkward.
When all was done, Carol said, "I've never smiled that long for anyone."
Well, all I have to say Carol....well I won't say it.
It was worth the embarrassment.
When The Greencards do when a Grammy then you will know how special a night it is when we hear them sing live!
