pie tradition!

The pie on the left is a tradition that began about 10 years ago. My best friend PT Pastor finally came up with a recipe that works! We call it Chocolate Cashew pie. It's the result of talking about our love for pecan pie and wondering why we couldn't make a pie with cashews. We all love cashews and chocolate. Through the years PT Pastor has experimented. Finally we have the winning recipe.

The pie to the right was baked this year in honor of our first Thanksgiving together 20 years ago. PT Pastor, my wife, my parents and I gathered in our little apartment in Louisville, Kentucky for what would become an annual tradition. It all began with a lemon pie!
