my trip to the east.

One of the privileges of being a Presbyterian, specifically a member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is the gift of going to the place called Montreat, North Carolina. I went to help plan the 2008 Youth Summer Conference (Omega Weeks). The weather was perfect. I've never been to Montreat in the fall. I've always been there in the summer when everything is green and lush. Though many say the leaves are not as beautiful in the east this year....for this Texas boy the colors blew me away! Three days in Presbyterian heaven!

Trips like this are so helpful....helpful for me to get away....and helpful for my church that I get away!
