ideas
hopes
nailed to the 
church door

we have glass
doors at the church
so i suppose
duct 
tape is the way to go

and i wonder
what we 
would find important 
enough to write about

reformation 
one of the essential ideas
i hold on 
to is:

      make faith
               assessable

remove the obstacles
remove the pretense

i do not believe 
mr
luther 
nor 
mr 
calvin
were able to accomplish 
in their lifetime
all the reformation 
they began 

i do believe 
they understood they 
would not be 
and should not be
the end all 
to this 
reforming work

after all they leave room 
for GOD'S 
SPIRIT 
to move 
that 
reformation might continue

reformed 
always reforming
always to 
be re
formed

and yet
there are those in our 
reformed family 
who retreat 
rather than reform

who run 
backwards to 
the false security 
of what was
in another time
in another place

reformation:

GOD'S
activity 
our hearts 
and minds 
reshaped
in order
that we might 
love more deeply 
and trust 
more wildly

sure enough 
reformation
is 
unsettling
for some
freeing for others


it's that time....
