storytelling circle

Sunday night we meet at church.
Each night a different group...
some of the faces and voices are the same
but there is always someone new
always a different group
always a story
told
worth hearing.

She was new
and her story was
vivid.

A hiking story,
a story of revelation.

One image she
described...
a bush
on a mountain
caught
their attention.

They stopped.
They looked.
They were filled with insight.

All my mind could do
was think that
she was our
modern day Moses.

She described the bush.
It was filled,
covered
with orange
butterflies.

We just sat there and watched,
she said.

Really?
Butterflies?
Wow!

Could the
original
bush
have been
covered with butterflies
rather than flames?

It's worth the
ponder
to imagine
the story in a different way.

It was a nice way
to end the day.
A bush
covered in butterflies...
encouraging us to
continue the journey.
