I've read and heard of Quaker discipline:
When discerning....
gather a group to help you
listen, and hear, and see.
I've done that this past few months.
Not the way Quakers
have typically done
their reflection and discernment.
Mine has been by
phone calls,
texting,
and Facebook messaging.
Friends have shared
what they
hear in my life.
Through their voices
I
have
more
deeply
heard
and seen
and discerned.
This is why I say...
my friends have been
a source of light.
