Practice, practice, practice!
Singing on Wednesday night
better prepares us for
Sunday morning.
Week after week
a mid-week commitment.
It's a journey
one, two, three,
crescendo,
hold,
rest...
amen.
In the middle of a
complicated
allelu
minus the
-ia
one baritone responded,
"Oh my, I just spoke in an unknown tongue!"
That's funny when
you remember
we are typical
middle of the road Presbyterians!
"Try it again starting at
the measure before the
tricky allelu...
minus the -ia!"
Said our choir director
who had an accident with
her perfume bottle with
a sprayer gone crazy!
Her sweet aroma filled the room.
"You may want to step out in the hall
from time to time tonight if my
perfume gets to ya!
I tried to tone it down but
it didn't work."
We made it through the rehearsal
without incident.
The beauty and joy of
church choir...
mid week....
laughter,
singing,
joy!
Really...
just one more reason
why...
I live
in a community of faith.
