no gladiolus

It's time for florists to think outside the box. Why OOO why do flower arrangements for churches look like the one above?

I have made it abundantly clear to my loved ones that I will haunt them if one gladiolus is present at my funeral. (Do you spell one gladiolus, gladioloy?)

I'm sure gladiolus can be arranged in an intriguing manner....but the fan arrangement has got to go!
