Kansas City pork tenderloins and chocolate cashew pie have long been a tradition in our home for Thanksgiving. We typically eat the pork tenderloin sandwiches the night before Thanksgiving and the chocolate cashew pie the day after Thanksgiving. This year our schedule changed a bit.....we just didn't know how much until the first tenderloin dropped in the fryer and the phone call came.
Fat Doctor and her family were here. We celebrated our 21st Thanksgiving with Fat Doctor's hubby!
The phone call announced the coming of their new child. They are adopting. We thought we were getting a boy, we now believe we are getting a girl....we hold our breath to hear the news. In the middle of dinner it was suggested the child's middle name be "tender" or "loin" in honor of our tenderloin tradition! I don't think that is going to happen.
Fat Doctor and family left for a 10 hour drive. They are driving to their future....a future we gladly share and celebrate.
God bless our new child....and our dear friends who are traveling through the night tonight.
Fat Doctor just called.....there has been a successful birth. See Fat Doctor for all the details! It is not my story to tell!
