Broken Promise

Jesus made a promise that in the end broke him.
Literally, his bones and flesh were broken.

How easily we forget the sacrifice of all time.

Though we are called
to offer our broken lives to God...

We hold on.
Pride,
Revenge,
Whatever it is
that convinces us...
that justifies our actions.

Make a promise,
offer a pledge,
live your commitment...
We are asked.

Many do without condition.

Others...
Conditional love is all they know.
This for that.
That for this.

But that's not the faith we are called to have.
Offer what you have
to Christ's church without condition...
or offer nothing at all.

Jesus made a promise that broke him.

God did what we could not do for ourselves...
this is why we offer our
time...
talent...
and money.

We don't give to make a point.
We don't give hoping to become successful.
We don't give to have our own way.
