Thanks to Mary's response we will contact the local chapter of the American Cancer Society to locate a woman who does not have insurance and needs a breast prosthesis.
I debated whether or not to share the post yesterday. I hoped by sharing the story someone might offer advice as to what to do....which Mary has done.
I also try to honestly share what happens during an ordinary day in my life. I would not have been honest if I did not admit that I and others shared a laugh when we received the unique donation.
Now we will turn our laughter into help!
Thanks.

I laughed too. Life is funny and sanity depends on our laughter in response to it.
I am so glad that I helped you decide the "boobs" disposition. I think that what you are doing honors the wishes of the donor.
I know that the ACS takes them as donation as I have done it myself up here in IL.
Keep up the laughter and I love your blog.
I am so glad that you are passing your unique donation on to help someone. Great ending to a very unusual post.
