He didn't show me until the other night. It was on my birthday when it happened. He was named Most Valuable Player on the defensive line. I had no idea. I was being honored at a birthday party that my son was not able to attend, which meant that I wasn't able to see him play. He showed me the paper printed award. I told him how proud I was. Just today, I saw that the date of his award was my birthday. The best late gift I've ever gotten! I love that kid.
