in one week span
my story has been marked
by
water
and fire.

what a blessing
to stand at the side
of the water
named
niagara.

niagara
falls...
more water than
can be imagined,
the volume,
the power,
the beauty.

people flock to see the wonder.

and in contrast
there is fire.

unpredictable,
tenacious...
destroying 100's of homes
and a number of businesses
in the grimes
and waller county
areas in texas.

my son
and others
who call themselves
volunteer fire fighters
have worked over
the past 50 hours
trying to get
the fire
under control.

i pray for
strength
for those fighting
these devastating
fires.
