Oh the elephant
in the room.
Honestly,
most of us
have one...
of our own making,
or by inheritance.
How many ways
we deal
with the
elephant in the room.
Ignore,
obsess,
blame,
deny,
pretend all is ok...
nothing will ever change.
How many ways we
define
the elephant in the room.
Weird,
devastating,
frightening,
intimidating,
confusing.
Wrestle the elephant in the room
and see what happens.
Be assured
others will
notice,
judge,
talk,
wonder.
Elephants in the room
don't have
to win the day.
It takes courage,
and deep faith...
strength and
a heaping dose of hope...
to move the
elephant out of the room.
Do it...
and
slowly,
very
slowly...
So
slowly
at times
it
doesn't seem
the new will
come...
But
it
will...
I've been assured.
Those who have
done battle with
their elephant
tell me so.
Sound advice:
"Don't push your elephant on to others."
A prayer:
"May you have wisdom
to wrestle
your elephant
and step
into
a
new day.
A hope:
The elephant no longer
has power...
now...
let
the
future
begin.
It will...
I've been
assured.
