This is one of those years...
Thanksgiving merges with Advent.
Because of life's schedule
the sanctuary is already prepared.

Chrismon tree,
Advent Wreath,
Nativities,
Garland,
and
Purple paraments...

The end of one liturgical year
the beginning of the next.

My personal life is much like
the liturgical calendar this year.

Emotion merges into emotion.
Memory merges into reality.
Ending merges into beginning.

Letting go.
Grabbing on.

Grief.
Hope.

Death.
Life.

One story ends,
one story begins...
one year ends,
one year begins.

In the church world...
In my personal world...
It's one of those years.
