small town, little bit of drama...

I was weeding and mulching the front flower bed when all the sudden I found it. I wasn't sure what it was at firts. It was long, soft, a bit stretchy and was just below the surface soil. I pulled harder and a big glob pulled up out of the ground.
There I sat as Gatesvillites drove by. In my hand I held a rather large brassier! I was told that the church I am currently serving had very little drama.....now I find a bra planted in the front yard. The organist of the church has been here for quite some time. She said she knows who used to live here. She intends to find out the story if there is a good one!
Last night I went out to eat on a ranch just outside of town. What a delightful evening. When I got home a police officer was parked next to my house. I got out of my truck and the cop asked, "Are those your dogs barking?"
"Yes", I replied.
"Your neighbors called about them," he said.
My neighbors are 24 years old. You are telling me they go to bed at 9pm?
I told the officer that my dogs sleep inside and I was about to get out of the car and take them inside. "Officer, it's not even 10 pm" "I know, thank you for helping." And the he left.
Small town, USA. Despite a bit of drama here and there....it is a good place to live!
