The children of the church proudly came to the front of the sanctuary carrying a big gift.
It was a photo or picture, I could tell.
I opened it with enthusiasm and their help.
It was my last Sunday to be their pastor.
I opened their gift and saw their framed artwork!
It was a picture of a pot with flowers.
The petals of the flowers where their finger prints!
I cried. It was beautiful.
Even though the reception in my honor
started before I entered the room,
even though the cake was nearly all gone before I got near the table.....
the children made everything right and good again!
They got my attention and the attention of others.
Seven children on their hands and knees yelled,
"Pastor Blake we made up a dance for you, watch!"
I watched.....and again was moved to tears.
The little ones crawled on the ground in a circle.
"We are little lambs!", they yelled.
Each of them lifted one hand and chanted, "Pastor"
Then they lifted their other hand, "Blake"!
I will cherish their gift forever.
It was better than any other gift the church could give me.
Thank you to my little lambs!
May God give you courage and joy to grow up with the same joyful faith you have today!

Some wise man once taught me that faith was a verb. Sounds like those kids are truly living that faith.

The "author" means the one who wrote the comment deleted it. LP would be the blog administrator.
My mistake, was not aware of the protocall. Wonder why the author deleted it?
They truly love you and the seeds you have planted will grow in their heart. The Jesus seeds!
Thank you
